Have your field trip at Urban STEAM Lab! This no-fuss, super fun, and interactive STEAM experience is designed to support your classroom science curriculum! Choose one of our themes or ask us how we can make your own ideas come to life. Field trips are recommended for 2nd-6th grade students. Read more about our most popular themes below:
SIMPLE MACHINES
Design and build your own Rube Goldberg machine with your team using at least 3 simple machines. Let your imagination run wild and as we tinker with the conservation of energy and force in this physics-inspired workshop.
ANIMAL ADAPTATIONS
Why do some animals have long necks, sharp claws, or flat teeth? Explore different animals traits and think about how these traits help them to survive in their environment. Design and build a new animal of your own and sort it into it’s proper habitat based on it’s characteristics.
ELECTRONICS LAB
Build your own robot, connect your own circuits, and make those LED’s glow! Harness the power of electricity in these button-battery-sized creations.
CHEMICAL REACTIONS
Learn how to spot a chemical reaction and make two of your own! Investigate the differences between an endothermic and exothermic reaction and work with real scientific equipment!
