Build Your Fellowship: Lord of the Rings
Calling all hobbits, dwarves, elves, and wanderers—Middle-earth rises in Santa Cruz this summer, and you get to tell its story! In "Forge the Ring’s Tale," young storytellers (ages 11-16) will band together to create their own theatrical adaptation inspired by The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Picture hobbits trading riddles over a picnic, elves dancing under starlit redwoods, or a grumbly dwarf facing off with a shadowy foe—then make it your own as we build a grand production inspired by thhe Tolkein tales where families witness the fellowship’s quest unfold amid crashing waves and towering trees—Santa Cruz’s own Shire and beyond!
No need to speak Elvish or wield a blade—just bring your wild imagination and a spark of mischief. Together, we’ll spin a tale inspired by Tolkien’s first steps into Middle-earth, crafting a production as bold as a hobbit’s heart and as timeless as the tides.
