Class Experience
This class is designed to celebrate your inner dancer, whether you are new to classical ballet techniques or returning to the ballet barre after a long hiatus. Each exercise is designed to improve balance, core stabilization, fluidity of movement, coordination of upper and lower extremities, and musicality. The long-term goal is to gradually move from holding the barre to center work without it.
- Participants need a barre, counter, or sturdy high back chair to use as a prop
- Fitness attire and ballet slippers are recommended
- Participants should load the Basic Zoom app onto their desired tech device prior to the first class. A Zoom invitation will be sent to each participant 48 hours in advance of each class. A recording of each class will be provided for at-home practice purposes
This class is open to everyone and supports personal goals, making it eligible for OPWDD Self-Direction funding.

The instructor gets right down to teaching with no waste of time. MaryAnn has a great personality and her classes are always positive and uplifting. She chooses great music and gives a quick explanation of the musics origin.
