Class Experience
Our Toddler Play Group is designed for toddlers ages 1 to 3 years.
Held in our open and exploratory setting; toys and activities will be appropriately aimed at this age group with their growing vocabulary, social skills, gross-motor development, and art and literacy curiosity. The first hour and fifteen minutes will be spent in open play where children can choose toys, games, activities, and sensory and art experiences. There will also be purposefully chosen activities to encourage socialization and communication among kids and between kids and their adult. This Play Group ends with a circle time with songs, games, finger plays, and stories. Feel free to bring a snack for your little one to enjoy during our circle time.
To make the most out of each play group, toddlers must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Sue runs the class in a magical way that makes everyone feel comfortable, heard and most of all that they belong to a new community. There is so much thought, care and wisdom in each session from the setup to the dialogue. This was an invaluable experience that I would recommend to any new parent.

About Chicago Family Picnic
Picnic offers a comprehensive Childbirth Class, breastfeeding support, and doulas for expectant parents. We then offer high quality groups for new moms, infants and toddlers. Lastly we offer workshops that are pertinent to parents with young children. Ideally, families come to us for prenatal education and then return to us with their infants and then toddlers.
